Camera effects, explained

Some clips use stronger settings than the defaults so the effect is easier to see.

  Sit at idle and feel the whole cab tremble with the diesel. Pull away and it smooths out, until you climb a hill and feel the engine hum as it works. You can finally feel your truck working.

  Look out the side window at a junction, or peek at your mirror before changing lanes, all with a smooth, natural head turn. Turn on Glance on Turn Signal and your head checks the mirror on its own whenever you signal.

• Body Dynamics

  Brake hard and you nod forward. Accelerate and you sink back. Take a turn and you lean into it. It's the feeling of actually being in the seat, not just looking through a camera.

• Natural Head Movement

  Real drivers never sit perfectly still, and now neither do you. Your head sways, shifts, adjusts, and leans into turns all on its own, changing with how you drive. It's the most human your truck has ever felt.

• Head Motion

  Slam the brakes and your head lurches forward. Swing into a corner and you feel it pull. Once you've driven with it, the stock camera feels like it's glued to the dashboard.

• Steering Camera

  Turn the wheel and your view turns with it, so you're already looking at the road ahead instead of the side of the cab. Taking tight corners and roundabouts has never felt this natural.

• Idle Breathing

  A gentle breathing motion keeps the view from feeling frozen while you wait. It's the kind of detail you don't notice until it's gone.

• Suspension

  Your head dips, bounces, and settles like you're riding a real air-suspended seat. Hit a bump with the front wheels and you'll know it. Roll downhill and you'll feel it.

• Road Irregularity

  Every surface has its own feel. Leave the highway for a gravel road and the whole cab starts to rattle. Head off-road and you'll be rocking side to side.

• Speed Shake

  Cruise through town and it's calm. Open it up on the highway and the cab starts to move with you. Hit a rough stretch and you'll really feel it, all without ever taking your eyes off the road.

• Engine Start/Stop

  Turn the key and feel the whole cab shake as the engine catches. Shut it down at the end of a long haul and feel it settle. A small touch that makes every trip feel real.

• Manual Zoom

  A silky-smooth zoom whenever you need a closer look, then right back to your normal view. No clunky steps like the game's zoom.

• Blindspot Viewer

  Stopped right at the line and can't see the light? One key and you lean forward and look up, just like you would in a real truck. Press again and you sit back.

  Get out of the driver's seat, stretch your legs, sit in the passenger seat, or take a break on the bunk. Every truck has its own cabin layout, so it feels right in whatever you drive.
