This Privacy Policy explains how MotionCab ("MotionCab", "we", "us") handles information when you visit https://motioncab.com or download the MotionCab plugin (together, the "Service").
MotionCab is privacy-friendly by design: it's a local plugin that runs inside your game, makes no network requests, and collects no data — everything stays on your machine. The website collects only the minimum needed to run, with no accounts, no ads, and no tracking unless you opt in.
1. Information We Collect
- Website usage data — pages visited and basic, aggregated analytics via Vercel Analytics, which only runs if you opt in to the Analytics category in Cookie Settings (linked in the site footer), and does not track individual visitors across sites.
- Download data — downloads are served and counted by GitHub. We don't log anything per download.
- Reviews — the username, rating, text and optional picture you submit, moderated privately before being published. A hashed IP address is kept for 24 hours to limit spam.
- Browser storage — this site sets no cookies. Despite the "Cookie Settings" name, your preferences, such as theme and analytics consent, are kept in your browser's local storage.
- YouTube videos — embedded videos are loaded from YouTube.
2. How We Use Information
- To keep the website and documentation running
- To understand which docs pages and downloads are actually used
- To moderate and display reviews
- To respond to support requests you send us directly
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell any information. The Service relies on Vercel (hosting, analytics and review pictures), Upstash (reviews), Discord (review moderation), GitHub (downloads), and YouTube (videos), each bound by its own privacy terms. We only disclose information further if required by law.
4. Data Retention
Aggregated analytics are kept only as long as needed to understand usage trends, then discarded or further anonymized. Reviews are kept until you ask us to remove them. Denied reviews are never published, and their data are deleted right away.
5. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what data we hold about you or request it be deleted. Since MotionCab has no accounts, this mostly applies to reviews you submitted, which we can remove on request, and to browser storage, which you can clear at any time.
